
Rules and Regulations
By submitting a film to AIFF–Rajasthan (AI Film Festival – Rajasthan), the submitter agrees to all rules, regulations, and terms listed below.
1. Eligibility
>The festival is open to students, independent creators, professionals, studios, companies, and NGOs worldwide.
> Films must be completed between January 2023 and March 2026.
> Multiple submissions are allowed; each film requires a separate submission.
> The submitter must hold all legal rights to the submitted work.
2. Categories & Formats
> The festival accepts entries under the following primary formats:
> AI Short Film (1–5 minutes)
> AI Commercial / Advertisement (30–90 seconds)
> AI Song / Music Video
> Films may be submitted under multiple applicable categories but will be judged within the selected format.
3. Mandatory Rajasthan Connection
> Every submission must have a clear and meaningful connection to Rajasthan, demonstrated through subject, story, location, culture, people, archives, crafts, wildlife, music, or inspiration.
> Films without a discernible Rajasthan link may be disqualified.
4. Use of Artificial Intelligence
> Each film must use AI at at least one stage of production, including but not limited to: writing, animation, editing, sound design, music generation, image generation, VFX, restoration, archiving, or accessibility tools.
> Submissions must include an AI Process Note (max. 150 words) describing:
> AI tools/models used
> The stage(s) where AI was applied
> Identification of synthetic or AI-altered elements
> Misrepresentation or false claims regarding AI usage will result in disqualification.
5. Ethics, Consent & Responsible AI
> Written consent is mandatory for any use of voice cloning, face replication, or likeness reproduction.
> Deepfakes are strictly prohibited without explicit consent from the individual represented.
> Films must not misinform, manipulate, or misrepresent individuals, communities, wildlife, or cultural practices.
> Wildlife content must follow ethical filming standards; no disturbance, baiting, or staged interactions are permitted.
6. Music, Assets & Copyright
> Only original or properly licensed music, images, footage, fonts, datasets, and sound effects may be used.
> The submitter is solely responsible for securing all necessary rights and permissions.
> Proof of licenses or permissions may be requested at any stage.
7. Language & Subtitles
> Films may be in any language.
> English subtitles are mandatory for all non-English dialogue or narration.
> Subtitles must be provided as a separate .SRT file.
8. Technical Requirements
> Accepted format: MP4 (H.264 codec)
> Resolution: 1920×1080 (1080p)
> Bitrate: 20–50 Mbps
> Audio: 48 kHz, Stereo
> DCP is optional and may be requested for final screenings.
9. Judging & Selection
> Films will be reviewed and scored by a jury comprising filmmakers, AI specialists, cultural experts, and industry professionals.

> Judging is based on a 100-point system:
> Story & Emotion – 30
> AI Craft & Transparency – 40
> Sound & Music – 10
> Ethics & Consent – 15
> Overall Impact – 5

> Jury decisions are final and cannot be challenged.
10. Screening Rights
> By submitting, filmmakers grant AIFF–Rajasthan non-exclusive rights to:
> Screen selected films during the festival
> Include films in a limited online showcase
> Use film stills, clips, and trailers for promotional purposes
> Full ownership remains with the creator.
11. Disqualification
> A film may be disqualified if it:
> Lacks required consent or permissions
> Contains misleading AI disclosures
> Uses unlicensed content
> Disturbs wildlife or violates ethical standards
> Includes hate speech, harassment, or plagiarism
12. Liability & Indemnity
> The submitter agrees to indemnify AIFF–Rajasthan against any claims arising from copyright infringement, consent disputes, or legal violations related to the submitted work.
13. Festival Rights & Modifications
> The festival reserves the right to make scheduling, category, or program changes if necessary.
> Submitting a film implies acceptance of all festival rules and decisions.
